VENUE
Workshop will be held in the historical hammam of the Yıldız Technical University Davutpaşa Campus. The workshop venue is nearby the mid garden of the campus and at walking distance to the Davutpasa-YTU metro station
(M1A:Yenikapı→Airport)
ACCOMMODATION: Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation. Since it is high season in Istanbul during June, we advise making reservations in hotels in advance. Please contact with us if you need help about accommodation.
TRAVEL
To use public transportation in İstanbul, we advise participants to buy an İstanbul card. You can purchase "İstanbulkart" from the yellow vending machines located in every station of the subway, trams, metrobus, funiculars and some kiosks located near most stops of the public buses. As of February 2019, the cost of the card is only 6 Turkish Liras (TL) (from the machines) or 7 TL (from most kiosks). To reload the card, you can either go to newsstands and small shops (look for the phrase Akbil Dolum Noktası) which offer this service, or use self-service special purpose machines at major transit stations. The machines accept notes of 5, 10, and 20 TL and have instructions in multiple languages. It writes on the machines that it accepts 50 TL too, but it has been cancelled.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
All participants are required a valid passport to enter Turkey.
Foreign passengers who will travel to Turkey, must prior to travel,
in accordance with the conditions of their own country, can receive an e-visa from the web address
or apply in person at an international representative office.

HOW TO REACH?
BY METRO
Davutpaşa-YTÜ stop at M1A:Yenikapı→Havalimanı Metro line. You can see Davutpaşa Campus main entrance gate opposite the metro.
From Taksim/Şişhane to YTU: Take metro line "M2:Hacıosman→Yenikapı" from Taksim or Şişhane stations to Yenikapı Marmaray station. Then, use metro line "M1A:Yenikapı→Airport". You will get off at Davutpaşa-YTU station.
aBUS LINES TO CAMPUS:
41AT: Sisli – Cevizlibağ – Davutpaşa Campus
85C: Kazlıçesme-Davutpaşa YTÜ
Metrobus: After you get off 'Cevizlibağ' stop in Metrobus line, take a walk to the
stop that 41AT stops, it goes into campus. The other option for metrobus; get off 'Merter'
stop then take metro M1A from 'Merter' metro stop and get off at Davutpaşa-YTÜ stop.
BY CAR
Participants can also take a taxi or rent a car. To take a taxi, one can use free "iTaksi" application, which is avalible on both IOS and Android. However, we advise participants to use public transportation due to the high traffic jam in İstanbul.
FROM AIRPORT TO YTU
If you are arriving from Istanbul Airport (new airport), you can come to Esenler-Otogar by Havaist İST-3 Otogar - İstanbul Airport buses, and you can reach the campus from Davutpaşa Yıldız Technical University station by metro line M1.
